About the Role
We are seeking a versatile Software Engineer to develop and maintain cloud-based telemetry and media streaming solutions. The role combines C++/Python development, AWS serverless engineering, CI/CD automation, and AV streaming troubleshooting. Responsibilities include supporting existing production systems, improving reliability and performance, resolving incidents, and participating in an on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Software & Cloud Engineering: Develop, maintain, and debug C++ and Python applications; build and support AWS-based services, including serverless solutions using Lambda and DynamoDB; contribute to telemetry systems, integrations, and application maintenance.
- CI/CD & Deployment: Maintain and optimize CircleCI pipelines, build automation, packaging, image-related workflows, and deployments; troubleshoot build and release failures; improve delivery reliability and efficiency.
- Media Streaming & Production Support: Work with GStreamer and AV streaming protocols; diagnose media pipeline, connectivity, transport, and network issues, including packet-level analysis; investigate outages, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Troubleshooting & Collaboration: Resolve complex cross-stack issues across application code, cloud infrastructure, build systems, and streaming components; collaborate across teams; document solutions and operational procedures; support knowledge transfer and service continuity.
Required Qualifications
- Strong C++ development skills and practical Python experience.
- Hands-on AWS and cloud application development experience.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and preferably serverless architectures.
- CI/CD and build automation experience, ideally with CircleCI.
- Familiarity with packaging, deployment, and image build workflows.
- Strong debugging, systematic root cause analysis, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support and maintain production systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on GStreamer experience and knowledge of AV streaming pipelines and protocols.
- Packet-level debugging using Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar tools.
- Experience troubleshooting production incidents involving streaming, networking, or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with telemetry systems and existing production platforms.
- Ability to work across C++, Python, AWS, CI/CD, and media streaming technologies.
